Hey there, I'm a painter who's been living in Japan for about 6 years now. I teach English as a living, but it's always been a dream of mine to be able to teach art and the techniques I've learned from my years of painting. I think creative people begin to nourish their craft at a younger age, and can recognize that there is something unique inside of them waiting to be expressed. Thanks to many art teachers, I could believe in myself and nourish my own ability. They gave me guidance about what my work meant to myself, and helped me push my skill through drawing techniques. It takes practice, but I find it is very rewarding to see your skill grow and develop as you create your own visual language. I'd be honored and thrilled to impart my knowledge of art, and foster the visual language unique to you! We can start with whatever level you're at, beginner to advance--from basic drawing and painting techniques to developing a conceptual framework for your work.
