Hello, I am a linguistics major at the University of British Columbia. I have taken courses in math, education, English, linguistics, psychology, and child and language development. The knowledge I have gained in these courses has allowed me to better serve my clients and students in my volunteer and work experiences. I have lots of experience teaching children and adults in group and one on one settings through my employment and volunteer work as a gymnastics and circus coach, classroom assistant, camp leader, tutor, behaviour interventionist, and ESL speech coach. Working in these positions has enabled me to learn and practice many different teaching strategies, in person and online, in order to fit each student and client’s unique learning style.
