I am Raymond Cheley. I am an experienced Video Producer with a demonstrated history of working in the entertainment industry. My studies include Journalism, Film Production, Media Studies, and Education. The study of the visual arts is essentially the study of history and culture. In a way, visual arts are a form of universal language, as each individual artist uses his or her medium to convey something to the world. While not all artists are 'seen', it is apparent that all artists desire to be seen, philosophically speaking. This allows the scholar, the privilege of discovering many things that aren't actually recorded in the history books. This is why it is extremely important for people to become "Media Literate", capable of studying media, with an understanding that cultural bias, stereotypes, propaganda, and political incorrectness, can all be used by media distributors for both educational, and insidious reasons.
